This is a super-admin-only plugin, but if you are curious how we control which blocks are showing in the block inserter, feel free to read on…
This plugin allows us to manage the available blocks within the editor’s canvas block inserter palette. Blocks are made available either globally (all sites) or limited to a subset of sites (usually Marketing / Admin-focused sites).
The plugin was authored by UMS Web Development team and is maintained in-house at UMS Gitlab @: https://gitlab.its.maine.edu/wp/ums-block-manager. The blocks we support and make available are based on the analysis of the existing blocks and their corresponding functionality.
Access the Block Manager
Access the UMS Block Manager @ Network Admin > Plugins > Activate UMS Block Manager. Then, go to: Settings > UMS Block Manager.
