You can change the order in which your pages are displayed by using the Order field under the Page Attributes module or Quick Edit.

  • From the dashboard, navigate to pages, portfolios, or staff. Note: These options will vary depending on your campus website setup. For example, some campuses will not have portfolios or staff.
  • Hover over the entries and click Quick Edit.
  • Look for Order (Order can also be found when using the editor under Page Attributes).
  • Input a positive number, click Update.
  • Content with the lowest order will appear first.  Since the default order value is 0, be sure to change the order of all the content you are targeting from the default value (or it will always appear on top).
  • This will not affect the content’s order everywhere.  For example, most menus are created with a specific order that is set/updated under Appearance > Menu.  Changing a page’s order value will not affect their order in these menus.
  • When assigning an order to content, consider the following – You have three pieces of content, and you assign them the orders 1, 2, and 3.  A fourth piece of content comes along, but this piece belongs between the second and third items.  To fix this, you would have to change the orders of both the second and third items.  Instead, go by 10s – the three pieces of content would receive the orders 10, 20, and 30.  Now, when the fourth item comes along (which needs to be between the second and third items, you can just give it an order of 25.
